We are looking for a Pioneer Lay Leader/s

for the ABC Villages!

The ABC Churches in York (covering the villages of Askham Bryan, Bolton Percy, Colton and Copmanthorpe) are seeking an energetic and creative individual/s to join them on the journey as they seek God’s direction to form and grow a New Worshipping Community aimed at those in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s.   

 

Working together with Multiply (the Diocese of York’s initiative to help fund and resource lay leaders) we are excited to be recruiting a Pioneer Lay Leader/s to join the team, building on the family ministry and initiatives we currently have in place and with the remit and resource to take us in new directions! 

 

Our villages and churches are varied and diverse, with facilities including a primary school, shops, pubs and a recreation centre a large agricultural college with student population, and many interest groups in the largest village however some villages have limited community facilities with growing numbers of families and young adults. 

 

This opportunity will offer the right candidate/s flexibility to make the role their own, as well as joining a team who have a passion and desire to make church more accessible, relevant and appealing, growing disciples and bringing the Good News of God’s kingdom to those we don’t currently reach.  We are keen to hear from individuals who are interested, for either 20 hours a week or on a job share basis and are open to flexible working for the right candidate/s.
